Weerianna Street Medias Red Dirt Riders Premieres Today on ABC ME

Fast and furious factual series Red Dirt Riders premieres today on ABC ME as part of the ABC’s NAIDOC Week celebrations.

Red Dirt Riders is a 15-minute factual program for 10 to 12-year-olds. It follows a bunch of funny, cheeky Red Dirt Riders as they show audiences thing or two about off-road riding and share stories about their world. Over five episodes, kids from Roebourne in Western Australia’s remote Pilbara region venture out on their freedom machines to criss-cross Ngarluma country. They are aided by adults who guide the fun.

Red Dirt Riders is written and produced by Weerianna Street Media’s Robyn Marais and directed and co-produced by Tyson Mowarin — the creative minds behind Australian children’s adventure drama Thalu. Red Dirt Riders stars Thalu alumni Logan Adams, Cherry Rose Hubert, Sharliya Mowarin and Penesha Wally, with newcomers Isaac Guinness, Toby Cedar, Haseem May, Layne Smith, Fabian Dhu, RJ Parker and Johnita Sandy.

Red Dirt Riders premieres today on ABC ME at 4.30PM and can be streamed now via ABC iView

Red Dirt Riders is a Weerianna Street Media production for the ABC and NITV. Directed and co-produced by Tyson Mowarin and written and produced by Robyn Marais, Red Dirt Riders is created with support from the ABC, NITV, Screenwest, Screen Australia (PEP) and the ACTF.

The ACTF has educational rights to Red Dirt Riders and distributes the series internationally.
